These few things will give you the best WhosHere experience.- Include a picture. Many users filter for profiles with pictures only. In other words, if a user is set to only see profiles with pictures (and you don't have one), they will never see you.
- Enter your gender and age
- Under "Who I'm Looking For" put in, at least, the age and gender of people you are looking for. If you are a guy and enter women 20 to 25 years old, you will only see women in that age range and only women in that age range will see you.
- Make sure you click "Save" on the top right to any changes you make here or they will not be kept.
- Change who you are looking for often. You will find new people if you change what you have entered in the "Who I'm Looking For" section and the distance and idle time in the Setup tab.

We get a lot of requests, asking if you can filter results. Yes, you can. This feature has been available since the first beta release - WhosHere 0.95. It's quite easy actually. All you need to do is fill out the "Who I'm Looking For" section of My Profile.It is important to note that filing out the "A Little About Me" and the "Who I'm Looking For" controls BOTH who you see and who sees you.
detailed instructions
1. create/edit My Profile Start by clicking "Edit" in the top right It will immediately switch to edit mode, "Save" will appear in the top right and every field is now editable. |
2. create your profile starting with your name and byline Enter your (screen) name on the top line. Enter a byline on the second line. Click "Save" |
3. add a picture Click on the top left where it says "Add Photo". You will get up to four options (three on an iPod Touch) - Take Photo, Choose Existing Photo, Delete Photo, Cancel. When the Photo Albums comes up select the photo you want. The full picture will be uploaded. The "Move and Scale" controls how your thumbnail picture will look like on the WhosHere tab to other users. Once you have selected a photo and scaled it select "Choose". Information if your picture looks funny (pixilated) or other users complain that your profile picture is very small. |
4. create/edit the "A Little About Me" section Now click Gender in the "A Little About Me: section. |
5. select gender Select one of the three choices. We highly recommend you select your gender. You will get better matches in the WhosHere universe. You will automatically be taken back to the "My Profile" screen. Click "Age" in the "A Little About Me" section. |
6. select your age Type in your age. Click "Save". We highly recommend you select your age. You will get better matches in the WhosHere universe. At this point you will be back on the "My Profile" page. Now select "Relationship". |
7. select the relationship type of who you are looking for Select one of the four choices. We highly recommend you fill this in especially if you are a woman only looking to make friends. Note: You can select more than one type. Click on "My Profile" on the top left and you will be taken back to the "My Profile" screen. |
8. create/edit "Who I'm Looking For" Click on "Gender" in the "Who I'm Looking For" section. |
9. select the gender of who you are looking for Select one of the three choices. If you are only looking for members of one sex, we recommend you fill this in. Once, you select a gender, click on the "My Profile" in the top left and you will be taken back to the "My Profile" screen. Next click "Age" in the "Who I'm Looking For" section. |
10. select the age of who you are looking for Enter the minimum age on the first line and the maximum age on the second line. If you are, for example, looking to date, we recommend you fill this in accurately. It will give you a much better WhosHere experience. Click "Save" on the top right. You will be taken back to the My Profile screen. |
11. select the relationship type your matches should be looking for Select one of the four choices. We recommend you select "Friendship" if you are just looking around. Then click "My Profile" on the top left. |
